Safety is our core value

Safety is a core value at BritNed. Since becoming operational April 2011, operating safely has been, and remains, the key focus.

Stewart Whyte, Operations Director at BritNed, commented: “Safety is not just a priority, but a fundamental aspect of our daily operations. By fostering a culture where safety is ingrained in every task we undertake, we ensure that each member of our teams, including contractors and site visitors, returns home safely every day. This milestone reflects the collective efforts of our dedicated teams and the strategic implementation of rigorous safety protocols across both our sites.”

On Monday 9 December, BritNed’s teams in Great Britain and the Netherlands and celebrated with a series of cakes and treats – and a special new number plate for the ATV at the Gain site!

Reaching 5,000 days without a Lost Time Injury is not only a significant achievement but also a critical indicator of the effectiveness of BritNed’s safety measures.
