SAP/RNP Transition

This page will be used to provide the latest information related to SAP and RNP Transition.

BritNed will be transitioning over to the Single Allocation Platform (SAP) and the Regional Nomination Platform (RNP) on 26 November 2019.

To comply with the Forward Capacity Allocation (FCA) code, the SAP is being implemented. The SAP will be operated by the Joint Allocation Office (JAO) and will utilise the electronic Capacity Auction Tool (eCAT). BritNed will need to offer long-term capacity on the SAP by December 2019. To enable the transition to the SAP, a new platform called RNP has been developed to handle nomination services as the SAP does not support this. This is a joint platform developed by BritNed, IFA and Nemo Link.
