In preparation for returning to service, BritNed will be running a flow test. The schedule for this test flow which will take place on 6th June 2021 is as follows:

Long Term (LT)
• No rights are available in either direction (GB to NL and NL to GB) for this delivery day
• All rights previously curtailed
Day Ahead (DA)
• No capacity is made available for either direction (GB to NL and NL to GB) for this delivery day
Intraday (ID)
• All ID auctions for this delivery day will run at their normal times
• As a reminder, the first auction will take place at 19:30 - 20:00 hrs CEST on 6th June 2021
• We will be able to offer full technical capacity in both directions (GB to NL and NL to GB) during these auctions subject to any limitations placed by NGESO
Delivery Day: 8th June 2021

Update (21 May 2021)
The weather conditions have unfortunately caused a further delay in our estimated return to service, which is now planned to be 00:00 CEST 9th June 2021. This has been updated on the ENTSO-E Transparency Platform.
Unfortunately, due to the nature of the work being undertaken, there is a chance that we will need to revise this estimated return to service due to adverse weather. We will keep you updated if this materialises.
Update (10 May 2021)
Offshore work to repair the cable fault has unfortunately been delayed further which means our estimated return to service date is now 31st May 2021. This has been updated on the ENTSO-E Transparency Platform.
Unfortunately, due to the nature of the work being undertaken, there is a chance that we will need to revise this estimated return to service due to adverse weather. We will keep you updated if this materialises.
Update (23 April 2021)
BritNed experienced an unplanned outage on 9th March 2021 at 06:36 CET. Further investigation and testing confirmed that the current outage is due to a cable fault.
Offshore work to repair the cable fault has unfortunately been delayed which means our estimated return to service date is now 19th May 2021. This has been updated on the ENTSO-E Transparency Platform.
Unfortunately, due to the nature of the work being undertaken, there is a chance that we will need to revise this estimated return to service due to adverse weather. We will keep you updated if this materialises.
Update (15 March 2021)
BritNed experienced an unplanned outage on 9th March 2021 at 06:36 CET. Further investigation and testing have confirmed that the current outage is due to a cable fault.
We have narrowed down the location of the fault and are now in communication with suppliers to mobilise the repair plan. As a result of these discussions, we have revised our estimated return to service date to 8th May 2021 and updated the ENTSO-E Transparency Platform.
Unfortunately, due to the nature of the work being undertaken, there is a chance that we will need to revise this estimated return to service due to adverse weather, but we will share further information once it is available.
Unplanned Outage (09 March 2021)
BritNed experienced an unplanned outage on 9th March 2021 at 06:36 CET. Current indications are that this outage is due to a cable fault and investigations are ongoing to establish the location of the fault.
In accordance with REMIT requirements, BritNed have communicated a return date of 22nd April 2021 on the ENTSO-E Transparency Platform.
We will share further information once it is available and apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
