BritNed’s first Explicit Annual Auction was held on 11th and 12th October 2011.
In the direction NL to GB, all 150MW of the offered capacity was sold with the clearing price of €4.86 per MWh.
13 customers participated in the auction and 5 participants have successfully secured capacity.
In the direction GB to NL, 11 customers participated in the auction but no bids were above the reserve price of €2 (per MWh); hence, no capacity on this occasion was allocated.
